Art Therapy Experiences

Making art is not only my passion but also is a way of exploring my inner self and connecting with my deep emotions. The process of making art gives me an opportunity to explore myself in many layers.  It helps me to face and understand the difficulties and challenges. The creativity takes me to a space to grow and heal. I witnessed my self the incredible art therapy results through my clients and myself.

I did my practicum with the Catholic School board both in schools and the community. I also gave a few sessions of art therapy in family workshops.Since 2015, I have been helping at the Bentley senior residence teaching Tai Chi and facilitating some individual art therapy sessions.
I worked as a Suzuki piano teacher and early childhood educator for over 10 years. Now I practice art therapy in a private studio,Regina Art Therapy and Online while teaching Art , Mindfulness and Creativity classes at Neil Balkwill Civic Arts Centre seasonally.

My practice uses a client centred method to help different age groups finding their own insights and wisdom through art making process to understand their issues, such as family relationship, trauma, stress, anxiety, grief and loss.

Art therapy gives us a chance to explore our inner selves and maintain the creativity in us to support one’s self- care and love. It is not just only for healing but also for long term personal development.

In my practice, I offer mindfulness meditation and different kinds of art forms to support different clients with diverse cultural background. I can provide art therapy sessions in English, Taiwanese and Mandarin.
